School Awards 2015

       ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Nominees for the School Award must fulfil the following criteria for the respective category for the year 2015:

Performance Excellence Award

Represented school in National / Zonal / Cluster and

Achieved Individual awards at National / Zonal / Cluster (recognised by SPSSC)

Team Performance Excellence Award

Represented school in National / Zonal / Cluster and

Achieved Team awards at National / Zonal / Cluster (recognised by SPSSC)

3

Outstanding Leaders Award

Awarded to CCA student leaders and P6 student councillors who have displayed an excellent level of mastery in all the leadership competencies

Or

Implemented self-initiated proposal to improve running of CCA

Outstanding Environmental Award

Made contributions to  local / overseas environmental conservation

Or

Active contribution to promote environmental conservation (involved in at least 80% of all school projects)

Or

Proactive in being the Green ambassador in the classroom (Actively promoting recycling and managing of recycling corner in the class; as well as encouraging his/ her classmates to participate in school Green projects)

Outstanding Technology Award

·         An ‘A’ grading in the Baseline Assessment by the school

·         Top group project awarded for the level

·         Project selected must embody quality, creativeness and innovation

·         100% attendance in ICT-based lessons

Outstanding Service Award

Actively involved in the area of service in class /school / cluster / community / nation

OR

Made contribution to school / cluster / community / nation through activities taken to benefit the sector over a period of time

OR

Spearheaded programmes / events to promote community service work in school / cluster / community / nation

Outstanding Arts Award

P1 & P2

 (Visual Arts)

P3 – P6 (Visual Arts)

Submission of artworks to at least 2 external Arts competitions, representing school (Cluster/Zone/National)

P3 – P6 (Dance & Music)

Actively represents school and participates in external Arts events  (Cluster/Zone/National)

Spearheads or initiates Arts events or activities in school to work towards creating a vibrant school culture

Nominees for the School Award should also meet the following criteria:

  • Attain at least a ‘Good’ Conduct Grade
  • Must have demonstrated, on a consistent basis, exemplary character and school values.
  • For CCA awards, students must attain at least 80% attendance for their CCA. For Outstanding Leaders award, students must hold a leadership position.

NOTE: Only recipients of the School Awards will qualify for ECHA/EAGLES Award

NOMINATION

  1. Nominations will open from 5 August 2015, 9 a.m. to 28 August 2015, 5 p.m. and submissions must be made at the General Office.
  2. Nominations are open to all staff only.


STRUCTURED SELECTION PROCESS

There will be 3 key stages in the selection process; Nomination, Shortlisting and Endorsement by panel.

All eligible nominees will be shortlisted based on feedback provided by the Form teachers, Subject teachers and CCA teachers. Awardees will be determined by the Selection Panel convened by the Vice-Principal and results of the process will be made known to all after the awardees have been confirmed by the Endorsement Panel convened by the Principal.

 

FORM OF AWARD

The awardees will receive a certificate and a trophy.
