Strategies for English Language Learning and Reading (STELLAR)

This approach aims to strengthen both language and reading skills as well as promote a positive attitude towards reading in the foundational years through the use of well-established, learner-centred and developmentally appropriate pedagogical approaches using authentic children's literature.

 

Literature Appreciation Programme (LAP) at Upper Primary

Children's literature is introduced to our learners at P4 to P6 to develop higher order thinking skills. Through this programme, we also hope to nurture students' passion for reading and to make language learning fun and creative. The exploration of themes such as kinship, love, friendship, self-sacrifice, etc, also aims to enrich our students' minds.
